Musical Theater Class
Martha Peabody and Allyn Warner Gamble are excited to announce their 2nd Musical Theater Workshop.
The workshop will span 8 weeks including eight classes and one performance. Vocal exercises and techniques, development of musical theater scenes, focusing on movement, character development and musical drama fundamentals.
Martha Peabody, Soprano, has had a varied career spanning performances in solo concerts, opera, music theater, cabaret, ensembles and multi-media performances featuring Contemporary American Music. She has performed throughout the United States and Scotland.
In addition to her performing years, she has served as Head of Music at the Salisbury School, Salisbury, Ct. and the Agnes Irwin School, Rosemont, Pa. Currently she is an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Music Department of Northeastern University, Boston.
Martha held the Offices of President of the Boston Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and also served as District Governor of the Massachusetts Association.
She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Boston Singers Resource. Martha maintains a private voice studio at 14 Cedar Street, Arts Lofts in Amesbury, MA.
Allyn Warner Gamble’s many performance credits span 35 years and include featured singer with the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera and principle singer in Las Vegas, Nevada where she starred in Hallelujah Hollywood at the MGM Grand, Lido de Paris at the Stardust Hotel, Casino de Paris at the Dunes Hotel, 2 editions of Follies Bergere at the Tropicana Hotel and City Lights at the Flamingo Hilton. She appeared as opening act for Johnny Carson and George Carlin at the Sahara Hotel. She was the featured singer in many exclusive clubs in San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
In 1997 and 1998 she starred at the world famous Friedrichstaad Palace in Berlin, Germany, whose stage was once home to such greats as Marlene Dietrich, Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald. Allyn has recently moved to Newburyport, MA and teaches vocal technique and performance in her private studio on Federal Street.

Eight Week Scene Study Class
With Charles Van Eman
From analyzing the script, developing your character, working with props, improvising, and ultimately performing your scene for an invited audience, this eight-week class is a unique opportunity to hone your acting craft on a single piece of material. Class will culminate in a performance at The Actors Studio of Newburyport.
