An incident on the pickleball court has a group of friends on edge. As each personality weighs in, histories are revealed. The arrival of a handsome detective adds heat and complexity to the mix. Ole wounds are re-opened and life choices are re-examined.
Born in New England, James C. Ferguson recently moved back ‘home’ with his family after 17 years in Los Angeles, where he worked on numerous film and television projects for a variety of producers, both as a writer and producer. James’ plays have been produced throughout the United States and in London and he is the co-writer / director and co-producer of the well-reviewed independent motion picture Happy Holidays, currently available through numerous digital platforms and on DVD through TLA Video. Established in 2006, NSRTC presents new plays from local and regional playwrights are presented in a Readers Theatre setting before an audience, followed by a moderated talkback. This provides playwrights an essential step in play development and gives local actors and directors the opportunity to work in the Readers Theatre style. A number of plays in the series have won awards and have been produced locally and internationally.
