NSRTC – Wicked Bitter Beast(s) by Kira Rockwell

October 15 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Zoey is a prodigal daughter on the run from her charismatic evangelical past which included being the daughter of a Hell House pastor. When her unforgiveness brews past boiling point, she is forced to reckon with the beast(s) within, and the ones looking back at her in the mirror. WICKED BITTER BEAST(s) is a latter-day morality play about (un)forgiveness that reverberates through time, space, and realms as Zoey keeps running from the charismatic evangelical Hell House she can’t seem to escape.

On the second Saturday of every month from September to June new plays from local and regional playwrights are presented in a Readers Theatre format before an audience, followed by a moderated talkback. This provides playwrights an essential step in play development and local actors and directors the opportunity to work in the Readers Theatre format.
