Women’s HERstory Month (WHM) is The Actors Studio of Newburyport’s month-long celebration of National Women’s History Month. Our goal is to educate and entertain, through original programming, as we showcase the contributions of women throughout history.
As part of this important endeavor, we are seeking submissions from female writers for 10-minute plays or monologues, for a March, 2022, WHM weekend of performances. Submissions can feature women in all walks of life: medicine, business, aviation, politics, law, literature, homemaker, student, etc.
We will consider the first 50 submissions prior to the October 15, 2021, deadline. The submission committee will choose five pieces, from the submissions, for the performances.

The mission of Women’s HERstory Month is to showcase, celebrate, and honor the unique experiences and perspectives of women and their contributions to society. In keeping with TASN’s mission to develop both the art form and the individual by encouraging full creative expression, WHM welcomes all artists to bring the stories of these women to life, through various art forms.
